Claire and Brady’s Dallas Summer wedding was split between two opposite but equally appealing asthetics and venues. The Traditional ceremony was at the historic First Presbyterian Church of Dallas in the middle of Downtown and the crisp dynamically lit reception was at the mid-century modern wonder of a hotel The Statler just down the street. We bounced between the venues for getting ready, ceremony and reception but one of my favorite moves was the bag-pipe led march to the cocktail hour for all of the guests. It was the perfect presbyterian introduction to a dance and food filled reception. Another unique wrinkle to this wedding was the custom interior of the invitation envelopes. Claire and Brady were able to use an image I had taken of the remodeled dome of First Presbyterian a year before as the source material for the custom art work. It was such a cool touch and I was thrilled to be a part of that detail! Many thanks to After Yes, The Southern Table, The Royal Dukes Band, Bella Acento and all the rest of the wonderful vendors that made this possible!
