We started Friday with a wedding party hike up to the Ritz Bachelor Gulch and the Dusty Boot Saloon, covered the most precious and intimate rehearsal dinner at Mirabelle. The next day we went from morning to after midnight, following them from getting ready at thier family home, to the Chapel at Beaver Creek, to a custom tented reception put together on the lawn of the Park Hyatt by Stageworks, and finally at a dance party inside the main bar of the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek hotel.
Looking back my favorite detail was their inclusion of Catherines love of water-color and aspen leaves in so many aspects of the design. We looked for every opportunity to show each texture, design and most importantly the little moments that make a big day like this so special. I truly loved not just working with these guys but also just being with them. Spending time with my couples through full weekend coverage is my cheat code - There's no other way to to make sure we all remember just how special it really was. - Enjoy this preview and I can't wait to show you more!
From the very first moment I spoke with Catherine on the phone I knew she was the exact right fit. It was literally instantaneous.. I was just so excited to work with her and I could tell that she was confident and excited to work with me too. It was funny because she was a part of a Texas family planning a wedding in Colorado and was wondering if I would be okay with making the trip for her Colorado destination wedding in Beaver Creek. What she didn't realize is that we moved our full-time home to Colorado a couple years ago and I have been trying to find brides and families just like hers ever since.
I love my Texas families and I think my ability to photograph their engagements or Bridals in Texas so easily makes me a great fit for this type of wedding. As these things go, we had a lot to decide once we realized that we'd be working together. It pretty immediately made sense for me to join them for the whole process. From Engagements and Bridal portraits in Dallas, to covering the entire wedding weekend in Colorado I had the best time learning the group, making new friends while seeing a lot of old ones too!
