I remember the first day I spoke to this family... I looked back through my notes from our initial call and among the logistical notes and other info I had jotted down: “really precious, upbeat family… sounds like they will trust me???referral from great people.. I think they really get it!”
The last 7 months both Laura and Michael's families have shown me how true my intuition was from that first call. Two larger than life families hosting a beautiful event with hundreds of considerations, decisions, and things to stress over, but never once did I witness a moment where they lost sight of what this wedding was about.
And for the whole weekend my team and I went non-stop, corralled more cousins than I thought were allowed, and pursued moments that captured just a fracture of the joy that was experienced..
Sprinting towards Christmas at 100 miles an hour it really hasn’t felt much like the holidays.. but this weekend felt like Christmas. I got to be with people who loved well and I got to do the thing that I’m starting to believe I was meant to do.
